Ruth Etches

Background & Bio Details
Ruth Etches is a Nutritionist and Functional Medicine Practitioner specialising in optimising brain health and mental wellbeing. She runs Re:Health Clinic, where she leads a team of skilled practitioners. Together, they provide diet, nutrition, and lifestyle medicine for a wide range of brain and mental health conditions.
Her training includes Dr Bredesen’s protocols for Alzheimer’s prevention and reversal. She also holds a Fellowship in Integrative Psychiatry under Dr James Greenblatt. In addition, she is certified as a Shoemaker Proficiency Partner for mould-related illness. Ruth brings a uniquely specialised and evidence-based approach to complex brain and mental health challenges.
Through the Brain Optimisation Programme, Ruth and her team support adults experiencing cognitive decline, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, and menopause-related brain changes. In addition, they offer an integrative psychiatry approach for mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, and schizophrenia. Their work complements conventional care, aiming to uncover and address root causes rather than simply managing symptoms. For appropriate cases, they also incorporate ketogenic metabolic therapy – an emerging, evidence-based strategy for supporting brain health and mental wellbeing.
Alongside this, they work with children and teenagers with ADHD, autism, behavioural challenges, and mood disorders, helping them to thrive and achieve their fullest potential.
At the heart of their work is detective work – using advanced laboratory testing to identify underlying biochemical imbalances, genetic vulnerabilities, and nutritional deficiencies. With this knowledge, they create personalised nutrition and lifestyle strategies to restore balance and optimise brain function.
