Moira Newiss

Background & Bio Details
Moira Newiss is fascinated with the way our brain and body make and use energy. She understands how crucial this is for us to be happy and healthy. Furthermore, she believes our metabolic health is key not only to our weight and waist circumference but also to our mood. Over time, she learnt how a high fat, low carbohydrate diet, including the ketogenic diet, can overcome many of the problems associated with poor brain health. These include brain energy problems, inflammation, nutrient deficiencies, and poor gut health. (Yes, gut health is very linked with brain health.)
Many of the current treatments for brain and mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, dementia, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia, are not working well for everyone. Therefore, Moira wants to give you hope that there are other solutions that can be used alongside more traditional treatments. In particular, one of these, which is demonstrating better results than many drugs, is the ketogenic diet. It is literally a powerful metabolic medicine.
This is because it enables the cells in your body, including those in your brain and nervous system, to use fat as a fuel instead of glucose. As a result, when your brain cells can’t use glucose effectively, they can still get sufficient energy to thrive using fat as an alternative fuel. At the same time, this process drastically reduces inflammation too. Consequently, your brain can function more efficiently and recover more effectively.
Over the years, Moira has helped hundreds of clients to create a personal health optimisation plan that works for them. She would love to help you too. Not only do symptoms often improve, but in some cases, the condition itself goes into remission. This essentially means it is potentially possible to reverse the root cause of the disease. In other words, you may no longer meet the diagnostic criteria.
By targeting nutrient density, anti-inflammatory mechanisms, energetic pathways, and gut health, Moira helps clients optimise their brain health. Ultimately, her goal is to help each person regain balance and vitality.
