Background & Bio details
I am a highly qualified and experienced Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, working
globally with people who have been diagnosed with or are at risk of developing neurodegenerative
health conditions, including specifically Motor Neurone Disease (MND), Amyotrophic Lateral
Sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson’s Disease, and Huntington’s Disease through my telehealth practice,
You Nutrition Clinic.

Having had my own personal experience with neurological health issues, my
goal is to guide people as they face these life-changing conditions and support their health using a
calm and supportive, functional, integrative, systems-based approach.

I’m a BANT registered Functional Nutritionist, a CNHC registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner
and an AfN registered Nutritionist with 25 years of experience. I greatly value academic integrity; I
have a PhD and a BSc in nutrition, a diploma from the renowned Institute for Optimum
Nutrition (ION) in nutritional therapy, a PGCE in higher education, and I am currently completing a
Master’s degree in Neuroscience and Neurodegeneration to ensure that I have the most up to
date knowledge to support my clients.

In addition to my clinical work, I was integral to the development of the UK’s first Graduate
Diploma in Integrative and Functional Nutrition, delivered by ION in collaboration with the
University of Portsmouth (UoP), and have lectured at several institutes in the UK, I am a member
of the Editorial Board for the Nutritional Medicine Institute (NMI) and Journal. I’m also a member of
the medical committee for the charity Healing ALS, and an advisor to a Parkinson’s charity.

Areas of specialisation:
Adults with a diagnosis of or symptoms indicating neurodegenerative disorders, including Motor
Neurone Disease (MND), Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson’s Disease and
