After a hugely popular Optimum Nutrition for the Mind workshop in 2019, we’re excited to be bringing it back for 2023!

Patrick Holford, the pioneer for Nutritional Therapy in the UK and Founder of the Food for the Brain Foundation, will be hosting a one day workshop on everything he has learnt in over 35 years of exploring nutrition and mental health. Learn practical ways to:

  • Increase your and your child’s IQ and improve concentration
  • Support learning difficulties, hyperactivity and autistic spectrum disorders
  • Boost your memory and reduce your risk of developing Alzheimer’s 
  • Enhance your mood, emotional stability and prevent mood swings
  • Beat anxiety, stress and sleeping problems
  • Balance hormones to relieve PMS, thyroid, menopause and andropause symptoms
  • Learn progressive approaches that work for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder

This workshop, while focused on nutrition, also includes simple lifestyle changes and exercises for optimising mental health and helping de-stress, stay centred and sleep well. Patrick will also explore the advantages of a high fat ketogenic diet for neurological disorders.

About Patrick Holford

Patrick Holford has been a leading figure in nutrition since 1984. He was co-founder of the Institute of Optimum Nutrition (ION), pioneering the Nutritional Therapy profession. He has since helped numerous people throughout the world with their health issues, through his books and teachings. One of his current focuses is on helping people with mental health issues and in 2003 he founded the Brain Bio Centre at ION and in 2007 he founded the Food for the Brain FoundationHe has advocated homocysteine-lowering B vitamins for the prevention of dementia, working closely with David Smith, Emeritus Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Oxford, whose research has reported substantial reduction in the rate of brain shrinkage with B vitamins.
