Professor Michael Crawford PhD, FRSB, FRCPath,
Professor Michael Crawford is the Director of the Institute of Brain Chemistry and Human Nutrition. Professor Crawford is a pioneer in human nutrition research and a world- leading authority in the field of fatty acids and lipids in particular, their role in human brain development and evolution, and the implications of maternal nutrition for mental health. He is currently a visiting professor at the Imperial College, London. Faculty of Medicine, Department of Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction.
Dr Alessio Fasano MD
World-renowned pediatric gastroenterologist, research scientist Alessio Fasano, MD, directs the Center for Celiac Research and Treatment at Massachusetts General Hospital for Children (MGHfC). He is also Division Chief of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition and director of the Mucosal Immunology and Biology Research Center at MGHfC. A professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and professor of Nutrition at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Dr. Fasano is author of Gluten Freedom and co-author of Gut Feelings: The Microbiome and Our Health.
Dr Rona Tutt PhD OBE,
Dr Rona Tutt is a former President of the National Association of Head Teachers and continues to be involved in their work, chairing their National Forum for Neuroscience and Special Education. Rona has an MA in Linguistics and a PhD in the education of children with autism. In 2004, Dr Tutt was awarded an OBE in recognition of her tireless work to improve the education and life chances of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Rona has authored numerous books such as Educating Children with Complex Conditions.
Anne Pemberton MSc, PGCE(Autism), RGN
Anne is a Functional Medicine and Nutrigenomics practitioner and mother of a child diagnosed with autism. Formerly a nurse in cardiothoracic intensive care units her background in healthcare allowed her to dive deep into ways to help her son who now has a Masters degree and career in engineering. She has become one of the leading experts in the UK in how best to support ’neurodivergent’ children with optimum nutrition and psychology and other supportive therapies
Patrick Holford
Patrick Holford, is a leading spokesman on nutrition and mental health and founder of both the Food for the Brain Foundation, and the Institute for Optimum Nutrition. Originally trained in psychology, Patrick was involved in ground-breaking research showing that multivitamins can increase children’s IQ scores – the subject of a Horizon television documentary in the 1980s. Patrick also co-authored Optimum Nutrition for Your Child and Optimum Nutrition for the Mind.
